Apple Pastry Pockets

Yesterday was my husbands birthday and sadly, he had to work very early so I didn’t get to spoil him and make him breakfast. But I can make him breakfast today! These pockets are so so so yummy and easy, you’ll swear they came from a bakery.

Apple Pastry Pockets
Yield: 9 Pastries

Apple Filling

  • 2 large baking apples – washed and diced
  • 4 Tablespoons salted butter
  • Teaspoon cinnamon
  • Teaspoon nutmeg

Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan on medium heat. Stir slowly for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.


  • Frozen Puff pastry sheet, thawed
  • 1/4 Cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons salted butter

Cut thawed pastry into 9 squares and drop teaspoon size amounts of filling into the middle of each square. Grab corners of the pastry and pinch together in the middle. Brush the top of each pocket with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until browned..


  • 1 Cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk

Once the pockets have slightly cooled – drizzle glaze over top. Enjoy!
