Ganache Truffles

Have you been looking for a desert you can bring to parties? Something that brings the “Wow! You made that??” factor but also, for your sake, the “Easy Peezy I still have time to put my makeup on and not in the car” factor? Look. No. Further.

These may be the easiest truffles ever. 4 ingredients people, 4 ingredients. Get out your chocolate chips and your zip lock bags! This recipe will not take long at all and the truffles themselves probably won’t stay around very long either since they are so yummy. Simple ingredients, delicious truffles. Nothing wrong with simple & delicious.

Ganache Truffles

  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon butter

Pour chocolate chips into a medium bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals until chocolate is melted. Stir in heavy whipping cream until smooth.Pour into a zip lock bag, put zip lock bag into a tall glass and put in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.

Once ganache has slightly hardened, butter a cookie sheet and snip a large tip of the zip lock bag. Pipe the ganache into small pods and set in fridge for half hour.

After the pods have set, working quickly, roll into balls. Refrigerate yet again for 30 minutes. Right before removing from fridge, microwave 1/2 cup chocolate chips and butter to get ready for dipping. If you would like to add swirls, zigzags, etc. I put the remainder of the dipping chocolate in a ziplock and snipped the tip to pipe. After dipping, refrigerate in an air tight container. Enjoy!
